Paid focus group opportunity for Endocrinology and Diabetes Telehealth Rapid Access Clinics

  29 March 2022  NWMPHN

Melbourne Health and Western Health are undertaking a project to review the Endocrinology and Diabetes Telehealth Rapid Access Clinics (Endo-TRACS).

The purpose of these clinics is to provide rapid access to patients for the management of diabetes. After three visits, the clinics discharge patients back to GPs or an outpatient endocrinology clinic. The purpose of the project is to identify the strengths of the current service and areas for improvement for the future.  Understanding the perspective of GPs who may use the clinics is critical to designing what the future service could look like.

The purpose of the focus group will be to:

  • Understand what is important from a GP perspective when referring to the clinics
  • Understand what is important from a GP perspective when having patients discharged from the clinics to primary care
  • Understand what would be useful for GPs to know about the clinics
  • Test what communication from the clinics would be most useful for GPs and how this is made available

Impact Co. is a management consulting firm that has been engaged by Melbourne Health and Western Health to undertake this work. The focus group will be facilitated by Impact Co.
