Get involved

Our community is healthier when you are involved in planning, designing and evaluating health services.

Graphic of diverse people who live in our region. Our role as a primary health network is to improve the health of people who live in our region. We know we can’t do this on our own. We need our communities to help us plan, design and evaluate the health services that we fund and the programs we deliver.

This ensures health services are meeting the needs and expectations of the people they serve, and communities can access the health care they need.

Our region is one of the most diverse in Victoria. We need to ensure our community participation activities are inclusive and culturally responsive, so everyone can take part. We are committed to ensuring this ethos is embedded in the culture and core functions of our organisation.

Our work with the people in our region is guided by our Community Participation Plan, which is being updated for 2024–26. View our poster (.pdf) to learn more.

Ken first became involved with our People Bank through a suicide prevention forum. Although nervous at first, Ken soon embraced the opportunity to contribute to the way health care programs and services are designed.
