Previous experience in General Practice is required.

Assisting Medical Practitioner in delivering medical service
Maintaining recall and reminder system
Wound Care
Immunizations and procedures
Assisting doctors with Health Assessments & Care Plans
Assisting doctors with Chronic Disease Management
Highly Desirable:
Current practical knowledge of COVID-19 restrictions and procedures as they relate to a primary care setting
Cervical Screening / Womens’ Health experience

Wound management

Treatment room stock management
Patient recall and management
Reception and administration

Spirometry
Experience in these areas is essential

The Role:
We need an experienced registered nurse with general practice experience that enjoys working in a close-knit team. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in general practice nursing and be ready to take the day-to-day lead in all aspects of our nursing support, including:

• Triage
• CDM – GPMP, TCA and >75 health assessments
• Wound care
• Iron transfusions
• Maintaining clinical data management using Best Practice software
• Managing the clinical environment – infection control
• Cold chain management
• WHS
• Accreditation processes
• Ordering medical supplies – stock rotation
• Promotion of healthcare – recalls and reminders
• Providing patients with appropriate information and education
• Taking a lead role on clinical improvement initiatives, with support from the Clinical Lead GP and the Practice Manager

You must have superior interpersonal skills with a strong focus on patient needs. You must be punctual, flexible and possess a proven ability to work autonomously.
