Our Ultrasound workshop allows you to develop your ultrasound skills in a supportive and knowledgeable environment with professional sonographers. The workshop covers the use of ultrasound in emergency medicine, trauma, and clinical care for rural generalists with minimal experience in using ultrasound in practice.

The Ultrasound workshop typically covers:

  • Basic physics of ultrasound and knobology
  • General uses of ultrasound in Emergency Medicine/Trauma/Critical care.

Each workshop is guided by highly experienced specialists, sonographers, and clinicians with the most advanced scanning devices and new technology. Participants are exposed to experimenting and learning with scanning devices and new ultrasound technologies while covering common situations that may arise in the emergency department, in practice, or in basic anaesthetics.

Participation numbers are strictly limited to 20 for maximum training benefit. The portable equipment/ultrasound units used in the workshop are provided by SonoSite Fujifilm.
