Atopic dermatitis (AD) is Australia's most prevalent chronic inflammatory skin disease, affecting approximately 20% of children and 10% of adults. Uncontrolled AD imposes a substantial burden on patients, leading to persistent discomfort and quality of life impairment.

This comprehensive program equips GPs to master the nuances of AD, distinguishing it from other conditions, assessing disease severity, and developing tailored treatment plans.

Given the rapid evolution of AD treatment options, including promising therapies like Janus Kinase inhibitors (JAKi), the need for GPs to consistently and precisely assess AD severity has become ever more critical to patient care, including timely referral to specialists when necessary. This course offers an interactive learning experience tailored to empower GPs with the skills and knowledge needed to identify and effectively manage patients with atopic dermatitis, even in severe cases.
