Webinar

GenWest, Women’s Health In the North, and the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network invite you to attend an online information session about early medical abortion of pregnancy.

Early medical abortion is the preferred method of induced abortion for nearly 50 per cent of women worldwide who experience unwanted pregnancy. The procedure is safe, effective and legal. However, despite the legal status of abortion in Victoria access remains limited.

It is strongly recommended that registrants watch the recording of the June 2022 session, Early medical abortion of pregnancy: for GPs, nurses and pharmacists.

This session will build upon information provided in previous sessions, and will include:

  • an overview of training requirements for providing early medical abortion
  • an update on early medical abortion procedures, practice experiences, and support and referral pathways for GPs and nurses who currently provide or are motivated to provide early medical abortion.
  • discussion component to explore complex cases and demystify early medical abortion provision.
