More than 60% of people living with hepatitis B come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

There are many misunderstandings about hepatitis B and without treatment, hepatitis B can cause liver cancer. This workshop is designed for health workers and will increase your:

  • Knowledge and understanding of transmission, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis B
  • Knowledge on how to deliver appropriate health literate and culturally competent care to people affected by hepatitis B.

Blood Ties is a collaboration between St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) and the Centre for Ethnicity Culture and Health (CEH).
It brings together clinical practice and workforce development experience with expertise in cultural competency, health literacy, research and training. This workshop is funded by the North Western Melbourne PHN, so there is no cost to participants.
