Associate Professor Stefan Kane covered common and important issues encountered in the third trimester: signs and symptoms, investigations, referral and management. Issues include: non-cephalic presentation, small/large for gestational age, decreased foetal movements, cholestasis, hypertension, and induction of labour.

Professor Lisa Hui discussed important perinatal infections: syphilis, CMV, parvovirus, toxoplasmosis and herpes simplex. You will learn what these diseases are, how to recognise them and what to do when your patient has tested positive for them.
