Paid clinical mentoring opportunities with pharmacotherapy GPs

GPs often report it is challenging to transition from the Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD) training to actually delivering services within their practice. In order to support this transition, North Western Melbourne Pharmacotherapy Network is funding 25 mentoring scholarships.

The scholarships will enable newly trained GPs and GPs identifying a need for further support to spend 3.5 hours with a highly experienced MATOD prescribing GP in 2018. You will be remunerated for your loss of clinical time.

Please express your interest to pharmacotherapy@cohealth.org.au outlining:

  • When you completed Module 2 training, or plan to attend,
  • How many patients you are currently prescribing pharmacotherapy,
  • The expected demand you could meet if you were more confident in pharmacotherapy prescribing, and
  • The issue or issues that you feel you require the most assistance from the GP mentor.
