Sexual Health and Intimacy Psychological Services (SHIPS) is a new clinic in Fitzroy dedicated to providing psychological treatment and workshops for sex related issues such as sexual trauma, sexual pain (such as vaginismus), erectile difficulties, sex and pornography addiction and relationship difficulties.
Sexual dysfunction is often co-morbid with other mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression, and SHIPS psychologists treat both issues in parallel. SHIPS is reaching out to support stigmatised communities such as people with disabilities, sex workers and those who engaged in alternative sexual and relationship practices.
SHIPS psychologists are registered with Medicare, NDIS, Care in Mind and are now taking referrals.
