North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network is supporting a Western Sydney University project titled Quality Equity and Systems Transformation in Primary Health Care (QUEST PHC).
The research aims to develop and test a tool to measure quality of health care in Australian general practice. The tool may help improve care and lead to appropriate remuneration for high quality primary health care providers in Australian general practice, assisting in curtailing rising healthcare costs.
Who should be involved?
Western Sydney University wants to hear from people who work in primary health care (including practice principals, GP contractors, practice nurses and managers) to help evaluate a set of measures and indicators of quality health care.
What is required?
You will be asked to participate in three rounds of an online Delphi survey asking you to rate and comment on the validity and feasibility of measures and indicators of quality health care. A link to each survey will be emailed to you and will stay open for three weeks. Each round will take 20 to 30 minutes to complete. All three will be completed over roughly 15 weeks, making allowance for the holiday period in December and January. Your participation and responses will be anonymous to other participants.
