Diabetes Victoria’s Kellion Victory Medals celebrates people who have been living with diabetes for 50, 60, 65, 70 and 75 years.

In 2019 we celebrated 55 medallists who were presented with their medals at the Kellion Victory Medal Ceremony held as part of National Diabetes Week. CEO Craig Bennett acknowledged ‘Improvements in diabetes management and technology are simply astounding. Equally astounding is the determination, resilience and courage that all Kellion Victory Medallists have shown during their long lives with diabetes’.

Judith Ann Thynne, a 60-year medallist, had advice for living a long and healthy life with diabetes: ‘Do the best you can, it’s worth it’.
