Palliative care

Join this webinar to find out about the roles and responsibilities of witnessing the signing of a written declaration document as part of the voluntary assisted dying (VAD) assessment process.

Witnessing a patient’s written declaration does not require any prior knowledge of the VAD process, but is based on the witness’s observation of the patient and their understanding at the time of signing. This webinar is an opportunity for you to find out more and consider if this role is right for you.

This webinar is part of the Winter series - the VAD navigator service is re-running recent popular webinars. Each webinar includes a recorded panel discussion and will be facilitated by one of our navigator service team with live online chat and Q&A throughout.

After registering, you'll receive a Zoom link 2 days before, then again 2 hours before the webinar starts.

Panel:

  • Anna Taylor, Peter Mac Volunteer Manager and regular witness
  • Jane Morris, Vice President, Dying with Dignity
  • Cherry Horan, President, Peter Mac Auxiliary Group
  • Nicky Stitt, clinical nurse consultant, VAD navigator service
