This session provides a broad overview of the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition) accreditation. It is particularly suited to new practice managers and staff embarking on their first accreditation, as well as others wanting to refresh their understanding.

Accreditation can be a daunting experience for practice staff. We’re here to help providing you with an overview of what to expect and delve into some key requirements.

Speaker - Riwka Hagen, Medical Business Services

Riwka is a passionate advocate for excellence in primary care business management.

Starting out as a medical scientist, Riwka pivoted to general practice management including accreditation surveying since 2000. She has managed small, medium and large medical centres and has a strong interest in leadership development and coaching, quality improvement, governance, business planning and financial management. 

Riwka is the Director of Medical Business Services and Medical Business Coaching, providing consulting, advisory, coaching, training and mentoring services to the health sector Australia-wide including general practices and primary health networks. 

She is also an experienced board director in the health sector and is the founder of the highly active and influential Facebook group ‘Practice Managers Network’ which now has a global membership of almost 10,000.
