Join us as we launch a new local suicide prevention project in Brimbank and Melton.

Suicide prevention is both a national and state priority. It is the most common cause of death for Australians aged 15 - 55, and the numbers of deaths by suicide has increased by more than 20% over the past decade.

The launch of this project will be followed by a community forum, with Wesley Mission, to discuss the establishment of a local suicide prevention network.

Local prevention networks play a key role in coordination, collaboration and resource exchange. They also build a community’s capacity to be a foundation for the development of effective suicide prevention initiatives.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in suicide prevention. If you'd like to find out more about our work in placed based suicide prevention, click here.
