North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) is commissioning a Priority Primary Care Centre (PPCC) co-located at the Royal Children's Hospital and is hosting an information session for providers interested in establishing and operating this clinic.

The Victorian Government is funding 25 PPCCs across the state. The clinics will ease pressure on nearby hospital emergency departments. They will provide GP-led care for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions such as mild infections, fractures and burns. They will also offer pathology and imaging services. Care will be available to anyone with or without a Medicare card, at no cost to the patient.

NWMPHN is currently conducting the expression of interest (EOI) process for eligible primary care providers wishing to establish and operate a clinic co-located at the Royal Children's Hospital. This information session is an opportunity to learn more about site requirements, the commissioning and contracting process, and the steps to follow the closure of the EOI period.
