Webinar

Palliative care

This webinar is especially suited to clinicians who are not participating in voluntary assisted dying (VAD).

It can be difficult to know what to say or do when a patient or client speaks to you about VAD. This webinar aims to inform health professionals what constitutes a ‘First Request’ for VAD, and what your options and obligations are if you are faced with this situation.

This webinar is part of the Winter series - the VAD navigator service is re-running recent popular webinars. Each webinar includes a recorded panel discussion and will be facilitated by one of our navigator service team with live online chat and Q&A throughout.

After registering, you'll receive a Zoom link 2 days before, then again 2 hours before the webinar starts.

Panel:

  • Dr Naomi Katz, palliative care physician
  • Sarah Meageen, community palliative care counsellor
  • Susan Jury, clinical nurse consultant, VAD navigator service
