North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from organisations that can deliver low intensity mental health support through peer-based approaches.

NWMPHN seeks proposals from organisations to deliver low intensity mental health services using mental health peer workers as part of our stepped system of care delivered across the NWMPHN region. Peer work draws on shared personal experiences to provide knowledge, social interaction, emotional assistance and personal or practical help to each other in a way that is often mutually beneficial. Proposals may focus on specific priority populations (for example: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; CALD communities; refugees and asylum seekers; people who experience homelessness; LGBTIQ people; those with coexisting Alcohol and other Drug plus mental health issues; young people; older people) if there is evidence of specific need.
