Widespread use of alcohol and other drugs occurs across Australia and while primary care professionals are well placed to assess, provide appropriate information and implement management strategies to reduce problematic use of legal and illicit drugs, quality assessment is key to identifying appropriate treatment options and pathways to care.

This event will enable participants to link assessment skills and assessment tools, with clinical approaches and evidence to better manage people within their own practice and seek appropriate treatment options for those requiring further intervention beyond the scope of primary care. Recently developed HealthPathways will be showcased with a discussion on how they can be utilised in your practice and how they can support the implantation of SafeScript.
