GPEx | ASA | Insomnia | GP Education Session

GPEx and the Australasian Sleep Association invite GPs and primary health care teams to attend a workshop providing education and training on Insomnia as part of our GP Education Program.

Presented by Associate Prof Bei Bei, together we will unpack the complexity of assessing and treating insomnia aiming to equip participants with further skills and knowledge around:

• Describe assessments of sleep and provide initial assessment of insomnia in the primary care settings.
• Summarise key processes involved in the regulation of sleep
• Summarise risk factors for insomnia and describe its typical development course
• Describe key management strategies for insomnia and their efficacy
• Develop treatment plans for managing insomnia in the primary care setting

The workshop includes discussion and case studies to engage and enable participants to practically apply their skills and knowledge.
