Supporting the workforce
Palliative care

Designed for the disability and palliative care workforce, this forum will help these sectors better understand each other’s work. With a focus on strengthening communication, collaboration and coordination, this full-day event will empower the audience to improve outcomes for individuals living with a disability and life limiting illness.

Moderated by Jacinta Parsons, broadcaster, writer, public speaker and facilitator, the program will include presentations, panel discussions and case studies covering:

  • The challenges of accessing a dignified death for people with a disability.
  • Access to excellent palliative care when living with a life limiting illness.
  • Opportunities to improve workforce connection and collaboration.

When: Thursday 16 May 2024, 10am-4pm

Where: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf Victoria 3006

Assistance requests (e.g. Auslan interpreters, physical access supports) can be made at registration.
