This session is designed for experienced practices who have already undergone successful accreditation and are seeking to improve their accreditation performance. It is assumed that attendees have a solid foundation and understanding of the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition).

This session is designed for practice managers who aspire to boost their practice's accreditation performance and advance their knowledge of systems, processes, documentation and outcomes. It will cover intermediate to advanced topics including: 

  • effective business planning 
  • developing a clinical governance framework 
  • business systems that facilitate the growth of practices.

Speaker - Riwka Hagen, Medical Business Services

Riwka is a passionate advocate for excellence in primary care business management.

Starting out as a medical scientist, Riwka pivoted to general practice management including accreditation surveying since 2000. She has managed small, medium and large medical centres and has a strong interest in leadership development and coaching, quality improvement, governance, business planning and financial management. 

Riwka is the Director of Medical Business Services and Medical Business Coaching, providing consulting, advisory, coaching, training and mentoring services to the health sector Australia-wide including general practices and primary health networks. 

She is also an experienced board director in the health sector and is the founder of the highly active and influential Facebook group ‘Practice Managers Network’ which now has a global membership of almost 10,000.
