This webinar hosted by South Eastern Melbourne PHN will focus on enhancing current knowledge and abilities for implementing workplace infection prevention and control measures to ensure business continuity while also preventing infection transmission.
Participants will be able to apply the key principles of infection prevention and control in the primary healthcare setting, inclusive of hand and respiratory hygiene, aseptic technique, personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental cleaning, sharps handling and disposal, reprocessing of reusable medical devices, waste management, linen handling and laundering, staff health and safety.
Speaker
Our guest speaker Megan Reilly, Infection Prevention Consultant, has held executive positions on both State and National infection control professional associations/colleges.
She is currently a member of the ACIPC Scientific Conference Committee and has a keen focus on developing the aged care program.
In 2022, she was appointed to the RACGP Technical Working Group which reviewed the infection prevention and control guidelines. Megan is also a subject matter expert (SME) with the Victorian Infection Prevention Helpline.
