Banksia Palliative Care Service is pleased to invite you to a series of webinars specifically designed to demonstrate the benefits of partnerships between GPs and community palliative care services in achieving best outcomes for patients, carers and the service providers.

Community palliative care plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing serious illnesses and their families. It extends the compassionate support and specialised medical attention required for managing pain, symptoms, and emotional distress outside of a hospital setting.

Within this framework, GPs hold a crucial role as the primary point of contact, offering continuity of care and personalised assistance. GPs collaborate with the palliative care team to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring that patients can spend their precious time in familiar surroundings while receiving comprehensive and holistic support.

Speakers

Dr Scott Reeves - Palliative Care Physician and Geriatrician

Dr Chien-Che Lin - Palliative Medicine Specialist and General Practitioner
