Fracture Management: Casting and Splinting

In-person training at Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel, Cnr Grattan and Drummond Streets, Carlton 

This course covers the theoretical and practical essentials of managing fractures in primary care.

Key areas include:

Emergency management: initial mobilisation, analgesia and managing shock

Primary care: assessment and treatment plan

Investigations: xray, ultrasound, CT and MRI

Diagnosis, management and referral

Splinting, casting, immobilisation, problems/complications

Post cast application management

This course can be delivered onsite to groups of up to 12 participants.
