Werribee Mercy Hospital- New Rapid Access Colonoscopy clinic

Werribee Mercy Hospital has now opened a Rapid Access Colonoscopy Clinic to see patients with a positive faecal occult blood test and requiring an urgent colonoscopy.

Patients referred to this clinic will have:
• an outpatient clinic appointment within 14 working days of referral receipt and
• have an urgent colonoscopy organised by specialist where clinically required

N.B. This clinic is only for patients who have had a positive FOBT result.

Patients seen under the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program need to have this noted on their referral form.

Patients with other conditions requiring a colonoscopy should be referred to our Surgical, Gastroenterology or Colorectal Clinic. A full suite of our referral guidelines can be found at https://health-services.mercyhealth.com.au/service/
