We are pleased to announce that the first suite of statewide paediatric HealthPathways are on track to go live in January 2018.
The first of its kind, this project is working to translate existing clinical practice guidelines for low-complexity, high-volume conditions into local referral and clinical statewide pathways for use by primary care practitioners.
The pathways will help to facilitate best practice approaches to paediatric care and reduce unwarrented variation, ensuring children across Victoria receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Since the Statewide Paediatric Forum in June 2017, Victorian PHNs and Safer Care Victoria’s Paediatric Clinical Network have been working behind the scenes to develop the first suite of 13 pathways which will focus on respiratory and gastroenterology conditions. The pathways have been rigorously reviewed by clinical experts across the state.

This project is a Safer Care Victoria (SCV) and Victorian Primary Health Network Alliance (VPHNA) initiative.
