Working to improve the way referrals for children’s developmental needs are taken care of in the north.
Work has begun by DPV Health in partnership with Northern Health to create a centralised system for children’s developmental referrals to be assessed and triaged.
Modelled on the flagship Stepped Care project at the Royal Children’s Hospital, the aim is to create a single point of entry for paediatric developmental referrals made to Northern Health and DPV Health. They will then be assessed by clinicians using a stepped approach and directed to the most appropriate developmental service.
