The Australian Government Chief Medical Officer has declared monkeypox a Communicable Disease Incident of National Significance.
New and updated monkeypox resources are available and include a fact sheet, patient referral and testing guidance and ATAGI clinical guidance on vaccination against monkeypox.
This updated ATAGI advice includes using the ACAM2000 vaccine to include the use of MVA-BN vaccine to prepare for supplies of the third-generation vaccine being made available in Australia.
