Health care providers can now access National Bowel Cancer Screening Program results through My Health Record.
The Program’s Participant Details form now includes a check box on the last page for participants to select if they do not wish their bowel cancer screening results to be uploaded to their My Health Record. If participants do not have a new Participant Details form, they can handwrite on their form: ‘Do not send reports to My Health Record’.
Please note that bowel cancer screening results are unable to be retrospectively uploaded to My Health Record.
If patients want to remove results uploaded to the platform, they can log in and remove the result or contact the 24/7 My Health Record helpline on 1800 723 471.
