Congratulations to North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network Board Director, Genevieve Overell, for being recognised in the Queen’s Birthday honours on Monday. Ms Overell was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for “significant service to the community through roles with a range of organisations”.
Ms Overell has a background as a lawyer and has an extensive and distinguished corporate and community career including wide experience as a board director.
Previously a Deputy Secretary in the Victorian Government responsible for land-use planning, building, environment and heritage, Ms Overell also served as Head of Environment with the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority with broad management, coordination and delivery responsibilities across Federal, State and Local Governments.
Apart from being a Board Director, Ms Overell is also a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk committee at North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network. She also holds other appointments including as Chair of the Victorian Opera Company and Independent Non-Executive Director at the Australian Institute of Architects.
