The Ophthalmology team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) has recently reviewed and expanded their services which includes corneal transplant and corneal crosslinking services.

Expanded services provide a broader range of surgical options and new outpatient clinics including rapid access. The expanded range of services is available on the Royal Melbourne Hospital website with key contact information and eligibility criteria.

Referrals for certain eye conditions are triaged against the statewide referral criteria.

Referrals are welcome from optometrists and general practitioners using the RMH Ophthalmology referral form on the website, which includes visual acuity fields, and as there are some Medicare billing clinics, please select Elaine Chong on the referral form.

All referrals should be faxed to Central outpatients on (03) 9342 4234.

For more information, contact Caroline Hall on (03) 9342 8449 or eyeclinic@mh.org.au
