Elevate peer support pilot program to end in September 2021

  27 August 2021  NWMPHN

North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network commissioned cohealth to deliver a pilot of the Elevate peer support for the LGBTQIA+ community program, with funding from April 2020.

The Elevate program in partnership with Zoe Belle Gender Collective aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people living in the north and west of Melbourne.

Over the course of the program peer navigators, who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, have successfully delivered Elevate services to many people. The peer navigators also have a lived experience of mental ill health, which they used to help people navigate the health system and connect with appropriate support.

We wish to advise our health networks and community that the Elevate pilot program will end its services in late September 2021. We look forward to sharing an evaluation of the service, its impact and lessons learnt.

Visit the cohealth website for details on how to use this service in its final months.
