Outpatient appointments

As part of our response to COVID-19 we have made some changes to our outpatient appointments. We are reducing the number of face-to-face consultations and replacing them with video or telephone call.

Patients are being contacted to let them know about the new arrangements. GP telehealth appointments will not occur due to the current high volume of patient-only telehealth appointments.

Notification of COVID-19 test results

GPs are now being notified when their patients are seen in the COVID-19 screening clinic. An Emergency Department treatment summary is automatically sent to the GP via Argus or fax.

GPs can access their patient’s pathology results by registering to use the AUSCARE viewer.
