This wound care update and falls prevention session is ideally suited to clinicians and carers working across the primary health care setting and includes GPs and Practice Nurses, as well as Nurses working in the community and aged care settings.

Learning outcomes:

On completion of this course, attendees will have:

  • an up-to-date best practice wound care overview with special reference to wound care and healing in the elderly
  • an up-to-date best practice falls prevention and effective interventions to manage falls risks in the aged care setting

Jan Rice is a well-known expert in wound care in Victoria. She has worked as a wound consultant for many years and brings her expertise and experience to the aged care setting.

Falls Prevention Component
