This training is a platform for you and your organisations to learn about cohealth's professional standards for bi-cultural work and strategies to implement them in ways relevant to your work.

The training is specifically relevant for people working in services and on projects that could benefit from the inclusion of bi-cultural workers, for those already engaged with bi-cultural workers and for bi-cultural workers themselves!

We engage in critical conversations and explore how the professional standards can support collaboration, cultural safety, and community-led engagement; centring the expertise of bi-cultural workers.

Topics covered include;

  • Roles and responsibilities of bi-cultural workers
  • The benefits and challenges of bi-cultural Work
  • Inclusive recruitment strategies
  • Managing community expectations
  • Boundary setting and self-care
  • Community-led practice and cultural safety
  • Ethical considerations
  • Bicultural work in practice

The next training is being delivered online across 2 workshops, 24th & 25th September 9:30-1:00pm
