Do you know what support your patients need when accessing end of life care?
90% of Australians would prefer to receive end of life care and to die at home surrounded by their family and friends. However, only a small number of people do so. To improve end of life care, it is important to understand what support, care and choices people want and what they value.
On 29 November 2017, the Victorian Parliament passed the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2017. From 19 June 2019, Victorians at the end of life, who are suffering and who meet strict eligibility criteria will be able to request access to voluntary assisted dying.
This informative session will provide a practical update on Advance Care Planning, Palliative Care and Voluntary Assisted Dying.
