Webinar

Sexual Health Victoria, 1800 My Options, the North Eastern Public Health Unit and Women's Health East are pleased to offer this free information session for GPs, nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives and pharmacists with an interest in early medical abortion (medical termination of pregnancy) service provision.

Pregnancy termination provision is an essential part of comprehensive health care. It ensures that your patients have access to the full spectrum of reproductive services. Early medical abortion is a safe, common and legal medical procedure. Yet less than 10% of GPs in Australia are registered to prescribe medical abortion, and even fewer in primary care.

Hear from expert speakers:

Dr Kate Robertson, GP and Medical Educator at Sexual Health Victoria

Dr. Kate Robertson (she/her) is a General Practitioner and Medical Educator. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Kate has worked in various rural and metropolitan healthcare settings. She uses this experience to help tailor learning to participant's needs, with the overall aim of helping people to receive equitable sexual and reproductive healthcare throughout Australia.

Larissa Hudson, Senior Nurse Educator/Sexual and Reproductive Health Nurse at Sexual Health Victoria

Larissa is a senior reproductive and sexual health nurse educator at Sexual Health Victoria. Larissa has a special passion for her work in abortion care and advocating for equitable reproductive rights for all. She finds it an honour to support clients around various sexual and reproductive health concerns, and to be there for people at a time when they need non-judgemental and genuine support from a health care worker.
