Outcomes
- Holistic service response: The model incorporates a comprehensive approach to AOD therapeutic support, seeking to address mental and physical health, wellbeing and social connectedness.
- Intersectional lens: The program is designed to consider the intersectional contributors to people from LGBTIQ+ communities.
- Building future workforce: Q Health participated in a placement program where students were provided with opportunities to bolster skill development and experience. This created a culture of reciprocal learning, where students also shared knowledge and experiences with the team.
- Collaborative partnerships and service integration: Q Health prioritises relationships, internally at Merri Health and with external services, to ensure consumers receive wraparound support.
- Psychosocial funding grant: The program has received two rounds of psychosocial grants for 2023-24 and 2024-25. This is designed to enhance the capacity of the AOD program, specifically to support individuals with psychosocial issues and AOD comorbidities.
