Measures
Use Pen CAT4 data to measure the number of patients seen with respiratory symptoms face-to-face.
Improvement ideas
- Choose which model of care you would like to implement, to ensure that infectious patients are kept isolated from others.
- Follow the considerations set out in the Assessing Respiratory Presentations in General Practice HealthPathways page.
- Review practice infection control procedures. An improvement might include training for all staff in the correct use of PPE.
- Establish consistent screening and triage processes for respiratory patients.
