North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) invites expressions of interest from practice managers new to the role, or in early career stage, who would like to be mentored by an experienced peer.
Starting as a practice manager can be a steep learning curve. Many have told us the experience can feel isolating, and that they value opportunities to connect with others who understand the unique challenges involved.
To support this, NWMPHN offers an initiative that pairs new practice managers with experienced mentors for a structured, short-term engagement focused on building confidence, capability, and connection.
Mentee eligibility
To participate as a mentee, you should:
- be new or early in your general practice management career
- be located in the NWMPHN region
- be able to commit to one hour per week over a six-week mentoring period.
Mentoring sessions will be flexible and tailored to your goals. Participation is voluntary and designed to be a collegial, rewarding experience.
