Your patient has just received pathology results in My Health Record and, before their next appointment, asked ChatGPT what it means. This is already happening in consulting rooms across Australia, and the new Better and Faster Access reforms will make it more common. From mid-2026, pathology and diagnostic imaging reports will be shared to My Health Record by default, with patients able to access them at the same time as their GP.
This session covers what those changes mean in practice, how to have productive conversations with patients who arrive AI-informed, and how GPs can help their patients use these tools thoughtfully.
