RAISE IT communications pack

The RAISE IT campaign is an initiative led by North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) to address the stigma and discrimination associated with alcohol and other drug (AOD) use across primary care settings.

Grounded in extensive research, stakeholder consultation, and co-design with people with lived experience, the campaign empowers health practitioners, administrative staff, and service providers to confidently and compassionately respond to stigma – one conversation, one action, and one practice at a time (visit raiseit.nwmphn.org.au for more).

As part of the campaign, NWMPHN has developed a range of resources to help raise awareness about the impact of stigma in AOD care.

This includes posters, social media tiles and stickers.

We encourage stakeholders to use them.

This toolkit has been developed to support like-minded organisations who wish to amplify, endorse, or host the RAISE IT campaign.

Whether you’re a peak body, health care provider, community service, or advocacy group, this toolkit equips you with the messaging, visuals and guidance to join the campaign.

By using this toolkit, you can:

  • Help raise awareness about the impact of stigma in AOD care.
  • Promote your organisation’s support for dignity and equity in health care.
  • Direct your audiences to evidence-based tools developed by NWMPHN.
  • Collaborate in strengthening the broader sector response to stigma and discrimination.

The folder contains tiles of 24 providers in the AOD space, including GPs, pharmacists, practice managers, practice nurses, receptionists and more. Pick your preferred tile to post on your social platform.

There are also four tiles featuring groups of providers.
