Researchers from the University of Melbourne are seeking feedback from GPs about prescribing practices for patients of childbearing potential taking antiseizure medications.

We invite you to participate in a short 5-10 minute online survey. There is a limited knowledge-base to guide general practitioners and other clinicians who care for patients taking antiseizure medications during pregnancy. As a result, optimal counselling and prescribing approaches are unclear.

We aim to capture a snapshot of current practices by clinicians caring for patients of reproductive potential in the Australasia region. This will inform future guidelines and educational initiatives for practitioners caring for these patients during pregnancy.

This research is part of a PhD for Dr Alexander Berry-Noronha and is being undertaken in conjunction with Dr Vincent Gallichio and Professors Tomas Kalincik, Emilio Perucca, Piero Perucca, Frank Vajda and Susan Walker. This has also received ethics approval from the University of Melbourne.
