From the start of the 2025-26 financial year, major changes to the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) will come into effect.

The changes, announced by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing primarily affect medical practitioners, but will also impact allied health professionals providing MBS services.

The changes simplify, streamline, and modernise the arrangements for health care professionals and patients. Transition arrangements will be in place for two years to ensure current patients do not lose access to services.

Visit MBS Online to download fact sheets and share them with your practice team.

Practices can use our activation resources to prepare for these changes, and should monitor their clinical software for installation updates as soon as they are available.
