
Cancer Council Victoria is pleased to announce that registrations for the next Nurse Ambassador Program are now open!
Nurses will be recognised as a ‘Nurse Cancer Screening Ambassador’ after completing a series of four online webinars and submitting a reflective practice activity.
Nurses will receive a certificate, including 8 CPD points, and a Nurse Cancer Screening Ambassador poster and badge.
This program is free and open to all Victorian practice nurses.
Program overview
The Nurse Ambassador Program provides practice nurses with the latest clinical knowledge about the four national cancer screening programs and viral hepatitis, so they can effectively discuss and endorse cancer screening participation and drive cancer screening uptake.

The next program will run during July and August 2025 and will be delivered online via Zoom. Dates:
- Webinar 1 – Thursday 24 July 2025, 1pm-3pm
- Webinar 2 – Tuesday 29 July 2025, 1pm-3pm
- Webinar 3 – Thursday 07 August 2025, 1pm-3pm
- Webinar 4 – Tuesday 12 August 2025, 1pm-3pm
*Please note attendance at all webinars plus the completion of a reflective practice activity is required to become a Nurse Cancer Screening Ambassador.

Nurses only need to register once. You will receive an email from Zoom containing the link to join, this link will be valid for all webinars.
