General practice management

General practice owners and managers play key roles in setting care standards and ensuring they are met consistently and efficiently.

Your primary care facilitator

Every general practice in the NWMPHN catchment is allocated a dedicated primary care facilitator.

Your facilitator can help you navigate MyMedicare, discover quality improvement projects, and link up with grant opportunities and incentives. They can also help with questions about health reforms and the day-to-day business of general practice.

To talk to your primary care facilitator, email primarycare@nwmphn.org.au or call (03) 9347 1188.

NWMPHN mentoring program

Stepping into a practice manager role can represent a steep learning curve. We’ve heard that the experience can be isolating, and new managers have a strong desire to connect with peers who understand the unique challenges involved.

The NWMPHN practice manager mentoring program is designed to support people entering the field, using the wealth of experience that exists in our region.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please visit our application form for more information and to apply.

To be paired with a mentor, please contact the Primary Care team at primarycare@nwmphn.org.au or on (03)9347 1188.
