Webinar

Using a clinical case study, this free webinar will explore the legal and clinical aspects of voluntary assisted dying (VAD) in general practice.

Presented by Dr Eliana Close (End of Life Law for Clinicians, Australian Centre for Health Law Research, Queensland University of Technology) and Dr Penny Burns (General Practitioner), this webinar will provide GPs and other primary care staff with core knowledge about VAD in clinical practice and GPs' VAD legal obligations.

Gain clinical and legal insights including:

  • legal requirements for having VAD conversation
  • GPs’ roles in relation to VAD
  • eligibility requirements for VAD
  • decision-making capacity in the context of VAD
  • law on VAD administration.

This is an RACGP-approved CPD activity under the RACGP CPD Program.
