NEPHU, in partnership with the East Melbourne PHN and North West Melbourne PHN, are launching a drive to promote measles immunisation in under-immunised adults (particularly those born between 1966 and 1992) in primary care settings, as part of a broader statewide initiative.

To launch this initiative, we invite primary care clinicians, practice nurses and managers to join our upcoming webinar. The webinar will include information about the immunisation program and why Australia is at risk of measles outbreaks and what primary care can do to support prevention.

  • Dr Annaliese van Diemen is Director of the North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU and a public health physician.
  • Dr Claire Gordon is an infectious diseases physician and medical specialist at NEPHU.
  • Dr Katherine Ong is a public health physician.
  • Hibaq Ahmed is an epidemiologist at NEPHU
