In the current status of the COVID-19 health emergency, VHHITAL training session is now an exclusive on-line event. We will keep you informed of any changes as they become known to us.


Pre Exposure Prophyslaxis (PrEP) has been proven highly effective at reducing HIV transmission. Since 1st April 2018, PrEP being listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), GPs are able to prescribe PrEP, and community pharmacies can dispense it. There has been an increased community demand for its prescription.


VHHITAL and Gippsland PHN invite GPs, Nurse Practitioners and other primary healthcare professionals within Gippsland PHN region to attend the training event. This informative and interactive session will guide you on how to initiate PrEP with ease and which populations PrEP is suitable for.

Please note: This webinar will contain localised data and information for the primary health care workforce in the Gippsland PHN region. However, much of the content is relevant to the entire Victorian workforce and registrations are open to all primary health care workers in Victoria.
